Clinton County Democrats gathered in Western Clinton County on Saturday, October 13, 2018, to participate in the 70th Annual PA State Flaming Foliage Festival Parade.
State Rep. Mike Hanna, PA 76th House District, and wife Susan; Marc Friedenberg, candidate for PA 12th U.S. Congressional District, wife Becky, and two daughters, Claire and Molly; and Mike Hanna Jr., candidate for PA 76th House District, and his wife, Katrina, were among those handing out candy from the Democratic float and mingling with folks along the way.
Other volunteers included Clinton County District Attorney David Strouse; Clinton County Commissioner Paul Conklin, who served as float driver, and wife Kathie; Clinton County Democratic Committee Chairwoman Rose Reeder; county Democratic Committeeman Dan Reeder; Avis Borough Committeeman Michael Bilbay; Claire Gray, Marc Friedenberg for Congress campaign manager; as well as David and Lou Taylor (and Daisy, the pup!).
“There was so much candy that I thought I would have to store it for next year… Of course, there was nothing left at the end,” said Chairwoman Reeder. “So as usual, we had a good time and a successful float. We really do have an amazing team and everybody helps!”
The annual Flaming Foliage Festival takes place in downtown Renovo and this year celebrated its 70th anniversary with the largest parade yet, tallying 17 total floats.
