A contingent of Clinton County Democrats attended the Ag Progress Days (APD) event in Centre County on August 14 for a Penn Ag Democrats’ APD Picnic.
The annual 3-day event is Pennsylvania’s largest outdoor agricultural exposition and takes place on Pennsylvania State University’s Research Farms.
The Democratic picnic provides an opportunity for the party to talk about the importance of agriculture in Pennsylvania and policies that are being implemented to support farmers.
Notable guests included Lt. Gov. John Fetterman, state Sen. Sharif Street (PA Dems Vice Chair), Rep. Scott Conklin, Rep. Movita Johnson-Harrell, and Sen. Judy Schwank.
Clinton County Democrats had an opportunity to greet the guests and also got some photos with them.
“I really enjoyed the event,” said Angela Black, Lock Haven 4th Ward Committeewoman on the Clinton County Democratic Committee. “It was wonderful hearing the candidates, and their passions for helping and doing the right things for the people of rural Pennsylvania was amazing. Clinton County was well recognized in our beautiful blue shirts, on which I received compliments.”
