CAN’T MAKE IT TO THE POLLS ON ELECTION DAY?

College students and/or new residents who are already registered voters in Pennsylvania are encouraged to change their voter registration address so they can vote in-person locally on Election Day (May 21).

However, those who choose not to change their address or who are unable to make it the polls on Election Day should look into submitting an absentee ballot.

People who may vote by absentee ballot include:

  • College Students.
  • People whose work or vacation takes them away from the municipality where they live.
  • Those with a physical disability or illness that prevents them from going to the polling place.
  • Members of the military.
  • People who may have a conflict due to the celebration of a religious holiday.

Registered voters who wish to vote by absentee ballot must apply for a civilian absentee ballot by May 14. The completed ballots must then be received by the county registration office by 5 p.m. Friday, May 17.

For more information about registering to vote or submitting an absentee ballot, contact the Clinton County Voter Registration Office at (570) 893-4019, 2 Piper Way, Suite 309, Lock Haven.
