Would you be interested in joining together with fellow Democrats in Clinton County to help raise funds for people impacted by cancer?
Local Democrats seeking a way to help the community decided to form a Clinton County Relay for Life team, called “Clinton County Dems Kick Cancer,” and you can participate!
Relay for Life is an annual fundraiser walk that benefits the American Cancer Society. During the event, teams come together for 6-24 hours and members take turns walking around a designated path the entire time.
“Cancer patients don’t stop because they’re tired, and for one night, neither do we,” explains the American Cancer Society website.
Clinton County Relay for Life is scheduled for May 17-18, 2019 at Riverview Park. The Relay will officially kick off at 4 p.m. – but many events and fundraisers will lead up to that final event.
You can join the Clinton County Dems Kick Cancer Relay Team and help raise money for individuals impacted by cancer.
Volunteers will be able to participate in a number of ways, from helping with social media or collecting donations, to selling Luminaria to friends and participating in the Relay.
Even if you’re unable to volunteer, you can make a difference by donating toward the effort. Donations may be monetary or otherwise (the Relay team will be participating in used clothing drives and auction-style fundraisers that require donated new goods.)
