On Thursday, April 19, the two Democratic candidates seeking to represent Pennsylvania’s newly formed 12th Congressional District appeared in Clinton County to talk about their views during a Candidates Preview, organized by the Clinton County Democratic Committee.
Judy Herschel of Susquehanna County and Marc Friedenberg of Centre County spent the evening answering questions submitted by the public in the weeks leading up to the event. Questions were categorized into the following topics: About You, Consumer Protections, Environment, Weapons, Social Programs, Education, and Elections.
The candidates are vying for the Democratic Party’s nomination in the May 15 Primary Election. Whoever wins will go on to face the district’s incumbent congressman in November.
