It is a fact that there are more Republicans than Democrats in Clinton County. However, that only means that we must try harder to elect people to municipal offices who represent our Democratic ideals; who care about our communities and our neighbors.
There are a number of vacancies on the local level that need to be filled in the upcoming election in November. Open positions are:
- 2-year term for Lock Haven City Council
- 2-year term for Supervisor of Wayne Township
- 2-year term for Supervisor of Leidy Township
- 2-year term for Supervisor of Noyes Township
Because we are past the primary, the Clinton County Democratic Committee may nominate one person from each of the listed municipalities to be placed on the ballot for November. The Committee will help and support your efforts. If you are concerned about your city or township, now is the time to help your community. You CAN make a difference by serving.
We must select our Democratic candidates by mid-August, so please contact us as soon as possible. Please contact David Schaitkin by email, dschaitkin@comcast.net, or by phone, 814-880-6837 if you have questions, concerns, or just need more information.
