Individuals seeking office must circulate petitions to collect signatures of people supporting their candidacy for office in order to be placed on the election ballot. These petitions must be circulated during a certain time frame, from January 28 to February 18 for the 2020 Primary Election. The petitions are filed with the county Election Office.

Those signing petitions must live in the respective municipality for municipal candidates and live in any Clinton County voting precinct to sign petitions for our county-wide offices.  Individuals may only sign one petition per office.
