
Michelle Crowell has announced she will seek the Democratic nomination to for Clinton County Auditor in the May 21 primary election. Crowell is seeking a third term as county auditor after being elected to the seat in 2011 and re-elected in 2015.
Michelle is a member of the Pennsylvania State Association of County Auditors where she served on the budget committee in 2014, was elected to their Executive Board for 2017, served as vice president in 2018 and is currently serving as President.
The PSACA includes 28 counties. Their mission is to advance the professional development of their members by providing continuing education, training and technical resources and for such further purposes helpful to the greater efficiency for the function of the office of County Auditor.
In addition to serving the county, Michelle works part-time at Therapeutic Health Care Center. She sits on the executive board of Millbrook Playhouse, serving as assistant treasurer; is a member of Holy Spirit Parish, serving on both Parish Council and the Finance Committee; and volunteers at Lock Haven Catholic School.
Michelle is a member of Clinton County Democratic Women, having served as treasurer to the executive board for three years. In 2012, she was honored as Outstanding Elected Woman of the Year, representing Region 10, by the Pennsylvania Federation of Democratic Women.
A life-long Clinton County resident, she is a 1996 graduate of Lock Haven High School and attended Lock Haven University. Michelle resides in Lock Haven with her husband of 15 years, Bill Crowell, and daughter Maia, age 12. She is the daughter of Pat and Carol Leone of Lock Haven.
