PA Lieutenant Governor Candidate John Fetterman greets Clinton County residents

Democratic nominee for Pennsylvania Lieutenant Governor John Fetterman made a stop in Clinton County today (Sept. 26, 2018) to meet with local voters.

Over 50 residents of Clinton and neighboring Lycoming County turned out for the event at the Democratic Campaign Headquarters on Bellefonte Avenue, which also featured a free ice cream social.

Fetterman spoke to attendees for about an hour and a half, covering a diverse amount of issues facing Pennsylvanians – from public education funding to protecting organized labor rights, and supporting Medicare and Medicaid to protecting the most vulnerable groups in society.

“Thank you,” Fetterman said to the crowd. The Democratic nominee said that as an individual seeking to represent all Pennsylvanians it is his job to meet with people of all counties and hear their hopes and concerns, but the attendees were the ones taking time out of their busy schedules to come out and learn about his campaign and why this Nov. 6 election is so important. So far, he has traveled about 70,000 miles to reach out to constituents across Pennsylvania, he said.

Fetterman encouraged people to volunteer by canvassing and participating in phone banks. He also stressed the importance of registering people to vote and getting out to the polls on Election Day.

“We were excited to host John Fetterman, candidate for Pennsylvania Lieutenant Governor, as this presents a great opportunity for voters and residents of Clinton County and the surrounding communities to meet our nominee before Election Day,” said Clinton County Democratic Committee Chairwoman Rose Reeder. “These meet and greet events allow locals to learn about candidates firsthand and share their concerns with individuals who may one day represent them.”
