According to Clinton County Voter Registration & Elections Office Director Maria Boileau, the Board of Elections appoints temporary assignments for vacancies at the precinct level, and those wishing to be appointed to a vacant position may petition the Court of Common Pleas. There are certifications constables must have, she noted.
