Four months after the first nationwide No Kings Protest, people took to the streets again for the same cause: to remind Donald Trump and his administration that America does not do kings.
The crowd size nearly doubled from thee first the No Kings Protest to the second, making the October 18 event the largest local protest or rally against the Trump administration to date.
Attendees included Democrats, Republicans and Independents. Teachers, attorneys, elected officials, and other local community members who are concerned about the direction of our country peacefully assembled to bring attention to this administration’s continued disregard for the law, individual rights, and America’s ideals.
“What an amazing experience with such incredible people! We saw over 375 wonderful patriots at the No Kings Protest today! That’s almost DOUBLE of the last No Kings in LH! This event was very peaceful, especially with the countering Pro-Kings ‘rally’ of 6 people!” said Bre Brannan, chair of the Clinton County Democratic Committee (CCDC). “Despite this time in history being so heavy, we made it lighthearted and fun with inflatable animals, bubbles and a fun playlist! We also ended the day with a resounding and boisterous Pledge of Allegiance! This is what community looks like. This is what democracy looks like!”

Brannan also thanked Lock Haven City Police: “We would like to extend a heartfelt ‘thank you’ to the Lock Haven City Police for being on patrol and ensuring everyone was safe today! We certainly weren’t as big as NYC, but a crowd of nearly 400 can be overwhelming if something goes awry!”
