Each month, the Clinton County Democratic Committee (CCDC) and Clinton County Democratic Women (CCDW) launch an outreach campaign called “Dems Get Things Done!” (DGTD) to make monetary or item donations to a local community group. This past June, Covenant Café was the recipient of a monetary donation to support their programing efforts.

The Covenant Café is a joint venture between the Nurturing, Outreach and Worship Committee of Covenant United Methodist, the Alzheimer’s Support Group and the Alzheimer’s Association. Participants in this group are given an opportunity to be involved in socially and physically stimulating programs which will help them remain as active as possible.
Individuals and families who are interested in being involved in this free program which meets the first and third Tuesday of every month from 1-3 PM are invited to call Fran Decker, MSW at (570) 748-4302 or (570) 263-2084 for more information.
Past recipients of the DGTD campaigns have been the CC SPCA, CC VA Military Food Share, the CC Housing Coalition, and others.
