On March 5, Clinton County Democrats and friends showed up to donate life-saving blood and support locals in need.
The “Be Some Bunny’s Hero” Blood Drive, held by the Clinton County Democratic Committee (CCDC) in conjunction with the American Red Cross, saw 32 donors come out.
“It was a very successful blood drive,” said Rose Reeder, CCDC Blood Drive Coordinator. “The team from the American Red Cross complimented us on our great effort and results. We just feel good about making a positive impact in the lives of those in need.”
The CCDC has partnered with the American Red Cross to hold at least one blood drive per year since 2019. The event is often held in March.
Blood is perishable and can only come from volunteer blood donors. With someone in the U.S. needing blood every two seconds, blood must be constantly replenished, according to the Red Cross.
