How Pennsylvania’s Senators are voting on Trump’s nominees

Editor’s Note: This article will be updated periodically, as confirmation hearings continue taking place. Last updated March 3, 2025.

While Trump causes chaos and confusion through executive orders upending programs that Americans rely on, the U.S. Senate is slowly working through his nominations for several important posts. He and his cronies are rushing their suspicious activities, knowing it will be a while before they face repercussions simply because of the pace of the courts.

The Senators should be leveraging their votes on these nominees in a way that helps disrupt these unprecedented attacks on our democratic systems, norms and institutions.

Check out the list of nominees below and how Pennsylvania’s two U.S. Senators are voting.

WHAT CAN YOU DO?

Call or write to your Senators and ask them to say No to Trump’s nominees, and to tell others to do the same, until Trump stops his attack on programs that are critical to Pennsylvania residents and communities.

Script Example:

Hello Senator, this is <Name>, and I am a resident of <Community Name>. Please work with your allies to block Trump’s nominees from coming to the Senate Floor for confirmation votes. It is the only expedient leverage Congress has to try to negotiate with the Executive Office, which is creating chaos and confusion; roguely accessing sensitive taxpayer, personnel and contractor data and systems; and threatening to end important programs, like the Department of Education. Many lawsuits have been filed against this administration for unconstitutional and potentially illegal activities. Please do not make it easier for them to continue this assault on our democracy. Help stop the confirmations!
