In 2023, Clinton County residents will be voting on several important positions, including judicial positions and numerous county, local and municipal offices. The local elections will include: three county commissioner positions, district attorney, sheriff, register and recorder, prothonotary, three auditor positions, and three county district judge seats. Judicial posts on the Pennsylvania Supreme Court, the Superior Court and the Commonwealth Court will also be on the ballot.
In addition, voters will have the opportunity to cast their votes on important constitutional amendment proposals.

Joan Heller
Joan Heller is seeking a write-in nomination for the office of Commissioner from Clinton County Democrats in the Primary Election. She needs at least 100 votes to be eligible to be listed on the November ballot and must earn more write-in votes than any other write-in candidates.

David Strouse

Mary Ann Clark is running for the Region I School Board seat at Keystone Central School District, which includes Greene, Logan and Porter townships and Loganton Borough. She has lived in KCSD for 40 years with her husband Paul. They have two adult children who attended KCSD, with one of the sons attending the Sugar Valley Rural Charter School.

KCSD Region VI

David Dietrich
David Dietrich is running for Keystone Central School Board’s Region VI, which includes Allison Township, as well as Lock Haven’s 2nd and 3rd Wards. Dietrich was appointed to fill a vacancy on the school board in April 2022. He currently serves as president of the board. Dietrich is a North Huntingdon, PA native, a graduate of Norwin High School and holds BS and Masters degrees from Penn State; most recently he was a program manager with Curtiss-Wright, retiring in 2014. He said he came to Lock Haven as he likes the community, and he is the grandson of the late Kermit and Edyth Deitrich from Mill Hall. Dietrich serves on the Lock Haven planning commission and the city’s historic district committee.
KCSD Region VIII
Vote for one. Four-year term.

Dr. Frederick “Rick” Schulze
Dr. Frederick “Rick” Schulze was sworn in to the Keystone Central School Board in September 2022 to fill a vacancy for Region VIII, which includes Castanea and Bald Eagle townships and Flemington Borough. Schulze is a professor at Commonwealth University-Lock Haven in the public health education department and has worked in education for about 20 years. Schulze serves as the board chairman of the AIDS Resource Center at LHU, is chair of Castanea Township’s recreation committee and helps coordinate the annual Castanea Community Day.
