Important Dates Relating to 2022 Elections

May 2, 2022Last day to REGISTER before the primary
May 10, 2022Last day to apply for a mail-in or civilian absentee ballot
May 17, 2022Last day for County Board of Elections to receive voted mail-in and civilian absentee ballots (must be received by 8:00 P.M.)
May 17, 2022PRIMARY ELECTION 
May 18, 2022First day to REGISTER after primary
May 24, 2022Last day for County Board of Elections to receive voted military and overseas absentee ballots (submitted for delivery no later than 11:59 P.M. on May 16)
August 1, 2022Last day to circulate and file nomination papers
August 8, 2022Last day for withdrawal by candidates nominated by nomination papers
August 15, 2022Last day for withdrawal by candidates nominated at the primary
October 24, 2022Last day to REGISTER before the November election
November 1, 2022Last day to apply for a mail-in or civilian absentee ballot
November 8, 2022Last day for County Boards of Elections to receive voted mail-in and civilian absentee ballots (must be received by 8:00 P.M.)
November 8, 2022GENERAL ELECTION
November 9, 2022First day to REGISTER after November election
November 15, 2022Last day for County Board of Elections to receive voted military and overseas absentee ballots (submitted for delivery no later than 11:59 P.M. on November 7)
