2022 Candidates

In 2022, Clinton County residents will be voting on several important positions, including U.S. Senate, Governor, Lieutenant Governor, Representative in Congress, and Representative in the State General Assembly. Voters will also be voting for their county designates to their respective party’s State Committee.

U.S. SENATE

John Fetterman

John Fetterman

John Fetterman is the Democratic nominee for the 2022 U.S. Senate election in Pennsylvania. He has served as the 34th lieutenant governor of Pennsylvania since 2019 and previously served as mayor of Braddock from 2006 to 2019.

Pennsylvania’s newly-formed 15th Congressional District includes Clinton, Centre, Cameron, Clearfield, Tioga, Potter, Union, Snyder, Jefferson, Elk, McKean, Warren, Forest, Clarion, Armstrong and parts of Lycoming, Indiana and Venango counties. See the map and learn more here.

Michael Molesevich

Mike Molesevich won the Democratic nomination in the primary for Pennsylvania’s 15th Congressional District as a write-in candidate. Mike is an entrepreneur, business owner, environmental consultant and contractor who provides environmental assessments and remediation for industrial and commercial properties, real estate transactions, mortgages, and regulated facilities. He previously served as mayor and council member of Lewisburg and was the Democratic candidate for Pennsylvania’s former 10th Congressional District in November 2016.

PENNSYLVANIA GOVERNOR

Josh Shapiro

Throughout his career as a public servant, Josh Shapiro has taken on the status quo, brought people together to solve tough problems, and delivered results for the people of Pennsylvania. Since 2017, he has served as the Pennsylvania Attorney General, working every day to stand up to powerful institutions and protect Pennsylvanians’ rights. Josh is now running to be Pennsylvania’s next Governor — to move our Commonwealth forward and tackle our biggest challenges.

PENNSYLVANIA LIEUTENANT GOVERNOR

Austin Davis

In 2018, Austin successfully ran for the state House of Representatives to represent the Mon Valley and his hometown of McKeesport. When he was sworn in, Austin became the first African American to serve as state representative for the 35th Legislative District in Allegheny County, and he became one of only four African American lawmakers to represent a majority-white district. Austin was endorsed by Gubernatorial candidate Josh Shapiro and won the Democratic nomination in the primary election.

76TH LEGISLATIVE DISTRICT

Denise Maris

Denise is the Democratic nominee for Pennsylvania’s 76th Legislative District. She earned a master’s degree in Health Sciences and has over 20 years of business and volunteer experience. She currently serves as Director of Human Resources at Susque-View.
